Social media feeds and the style pages of magazines and newspapers will soon be awash with images of elaborate summer parties across the Hamptons. While the spectacle—the fashion, the settings, the guest lists—is undeniably captivating, those of us who live here understand that something far more meaningful sits beneath the surface.

Over the course of just thirteen weeks, it is estimated that between $50–70 million is raised by East End non-profits—funding many of the institutions that sustain this community year-round. From healthcare and environmental conservation to animal welfare, arts programming, and education, these events are not simply social occasions; they raise critical funds for the region’s most essential services.

This is our guide to the season ahead. It is not exhaustive—there are simply too many events—but rather a considered selection of those that define the summer, and that you won’t want to miss.
